News Archive / Language Weaver Partners with SPSS to Provide Translation Services on Demand 14.07.2010

Looking to help subscribers understand global conversations, Predictive Analytics Company SPSS is partnering with automated language translation company Language Weaver. With this partnership, SPSS (News - Alert) will offer a combined solution of predictive analytics and translation in a Software-as-a-Service offering.

Although SPSS has offered language translation of its text analytics before, the company claims that the new online service is less expensive. It facilitates market researchers to translate and analyze various types of unstructured data in 30 different languages. These languages can be used in blogs, RSS feeds, wikis, social networks, call center, notes, open-ended survey responses and e-mail.

To improve model accuracy and drive dramatically improved levels of customer satisfaction, PASW Text Analytics 13 and PASW Text Analysis for Surveys 3 leverage the critical insights and sentiments locked in unstructured data. Companies now receive a more complete view of their customers by extracting opinions, preferences and sentiments from unstructured information.

Jason Verlen, vice president of research and development and chief product strategist at SPSS Inc., said, “We are pleased to work with Language Weaver to offer our customers this cost-effective, software as a service capability. Organizations are now using Predictive Text Analytics to not only ‘listen’ to the Voice of the Customer, but respond strategically. With this service on demand, customers can easily analyze all types of unstructured”.
